Basalt Vineyard is situated along the Great Ocean Road, 9kms east of the historic village of Port Fairy in south west Victoria.
"At Killarney near Port Fairy, Shane and Ali Clancey (brother Andrew runs Portofino restaurant in town) have planted what could well become known as the Great Ocean Road's most visible (if not wind-swept) vineyard. Two and a half acres of riesling, pinot noir, merlot and one of my favourite red varieties, the very trendy Spanish grape, tempranillo, to be labeled under the Basalt label".
